Parallels Desktop 9 is the new version of virtualization software for desktop, with new features including Cloud Storage optimizations for iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive and SkyDrive.
The new version changes have to do with improved performance, functionality MacBook Power Nap in Windows and Windows applications, connecting devices of Thunderbolt and Firewire storage to virtual machines Windows, enhanced safety features and greater flexibility for users with multiple monitors. Parallels Desktop 9 also improves compatibility with Mac gestures in Windows applications and offers Linux users improved integration with the Mac OS.
Also, Parallels Desktop 9 provides an improvement in the performance of some of the most common operations: 40% improvement in disk performance and 25% faster at power-up and shutdown of virtual machines. The suspension is up to 20% faster than before. The 3D graphics and web browsing speed also increased significantly up to 15% of improvement for both.
For users of Windows 8 will be more compatible with Windows 8 and 8.1. Parallels Desktop returns the Start menu and allows customers to use Metro applications in a window instead of use full screen.
The new version will be available in retail stores, online and through the Parallels website since 5 September, but since today is available to existing users of the program.
