If you have a Dropbox account you know that it is very easy to share a file with someone else, getting a link to distribute according to your convenience. However, if the process is to do the reverse, if a Dropbox user wants to receive a file from someone who do not have a Dropbox account, things get complicated. Until now.
With Dbinbox. a web-based client, we can get the files to send someone without a Dropbox account. How we do it? Just Dbinbox generates a link that others can use to send files to our dropbox.
The only thing you have to do is to put the user name of dropbox, grant the necessary permits and link to Dbinbox with our Dropbox account. Once we registered in Dbinbox, we see that in our Dropbox folder has been added (called Dbinbox) within the Applications folder.
Now it only remains to share the special link of Dbinbox with our contact. This only has to drag the files that you want to send to a window in the browser. All files that we share through Dbinbox will appear on our newly created folder in Dropbox. The sender can attach even a text message that will appear as a plain text attachment.
Dbinbox also offers the possibility of including a password, so that anyone who wants to send you to your Dropbox files has to authentication the password. The service is free, but accepts donations via Bitcoin.
