We arrived almost at the end of the year and, as usual, Google announces one of the closure of some of their services that performs at its own discretion, from time to time.

Google Sync, Google Calendar Sync, SyncML, The Issue Tracker Data API and Punchd be closed in future months. The breakdown will be as follows: some features “not very popular” of Google Calendar will be closed from January 4, from January 30 may not register new devices with Google Sync; Google Calendar Sync will be discontinued on December 14.

Other less known services like Google Sync for Nokia S60 will be closed from January 30. SyncML, the protocol of remote synchronization for mobile, also will be closed on 30 January. The Issue Tracker Data API will close on June 14, while the system of digital discount coupons service, Punchd, will close on June 7.

According to Google, the reasons for the closure could be due to the decline in popularity of a service or modifications or changes or similar services with more features to offer to the users.
